Helping friends and neighbors like Hayden find hope and healing

With Thanksgiving around the corner—when hunger and hurt are felt most deeply—and the nighttime temperatures falling, our community’s most vulnerable are in harm’s way.

Especially neighbors in need like Hayden, who found himself hungry, hurting, and homeless when a storm took everything he owned: “I lost my house, I lost my clothes, and I lost track of life!” he says.

But when a cousin whose life was turned around at Haven of Rest told him what he could find here, Hayden came for safety, a meal—and hope in Christ. “God led me to The Haven!” he smiles.

And it’s for lives on the line like his that Haven of Rest is making a difference that matters with wholesome food, safe shelter, Bible teaching & mentorship, life skills training, education, and job preparation this winter.

Danny Walker, Chairman of the Board of Haven of Rest, says, “This is a chance to be a light for another life like Hayden’s. That’s why we’re thanking God for local friends who give generously during this special season of intense need.”

Your support of Haven of Rest is saving and changing lives. It all starts with a meal!
